About This Talk

What if the rules that move planets could also move your people at work?

This energetic session reframes classic science into a practical playbook for modern internal communicators. Chuck and Pinaki translate Force, Energy, Gravity, and Newton's Laws into everyday planning tools that help you build employee messages with substance, speed, and stickiness.

You will learn how to give your message "mass," when and where to add "acceleration," and how to use your culture as a multiplier rather than a blocker. We will run quick labs, do safe mini "experiments," and map a real internal campaign to the Force Equation so you can see what creates motion inside an organization and what creates friction.

Expect fun, not fluff. You will leave with a reusable playbook and language you can use with leaders and teams to explain why a message will move employees. Built for internal communications, employee experience and corporate communications professionals working with frontline and hybrid workforces.

Disruption is here; this session gives you the science to harness it.

What Attendees Leave With

A playbook, not a lecture.

You'll learn to

01
Map any initiative to the Force Equation
F = ma. Size up a message's mass, choose the levers that accelerate it, and predict its impact before launch.
02
Diagnose why a message didn't land
Check it against the two variables that govern resonance, authenticity and rhythm, and identify which trust builder was missing.
03
Get ahead of resistance
Use Newton's Third Law to anticipate pushback and draft counter-messages that reduce friction.

The big ideas

01
Comms is a physical system
It follows rules. Work with those rules, not against them.
02
Trust sets the resonance
Trust runs on two levers: authenticity (how genuine your signal is) and rhythm (how consistently you show up). When both are working, messages travel farther with less friction.
03
Culture is the multiplier
Energy = Message × Culture². A great message in a broken culture still fails.
Testimonials

What people are saying.

"Easily the best session of the conference so far. Aligning communication outcomes to physics in plain language — brilliant idea."

IABC World Conference 2026 · Attendee evaluation

"Brought together physics and communication and reframed how I think about message momentum and reach. Smart, practical, and a little nerdy in the best way."
